Welcome to mold making and slip casting with Anne Campbell! Held from Jan 14th - Feb 4th, 6:30-9:30pm.

Ready to take your ceramics practice in a whole new direction? In this four-week series, Anne will guide you through the fundamentals of mold-making and slip casting — a process that opens up endless possibilities for form and repetition.

  • Week 1: Anne will share the process of mold making, and participants will create 1–2 simple clay forms for single molds, or one two-piece mold.
  • Week 2: Mold making! Participants will learn how to shape, pour, and refine their plaster mold.
  • Week 3: Refine and finesse your molds after drying for week, then begin slip cast your first pieces with the assistance of our experienced instructor. Items will be bisque fired after this week.
  • Week 4: Decorate and glaze your bisque creations and leave them with us to glaze fire for you.

All materials are included: clay, plaster, tools, and casting slip (everything you’ll need to make your own molds and finished pieces). This workshop is best suited for students who feel comfortable making simple shapes on the wheel, but no prior mold-making experience is required.

By the end, you’ll not only have your own completed ceramic pieces, but also your molds,  so you can keep experimenting long after the class wraps.

All finished work will be ready for pickup in 3–4 weeks.

House Rules:

  • All courses are for adults (18+) unless otherwise stated
  • We require a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice to reschedule your spot — please reach out
