4-week Kid's Handbuilding // Monday Afternoons // Oct 6-Nov 3 // $180

Welcome to our kid's handbuilding class with Jonah Strub! Held from October 6th to November 3rd, 4:15-5:45pm. (No classes on Thanksgiving Monday)

Course cost: $180 including all clay, glazes, firings, and pottery supplies.

Four weeks of clay and creativity! This kid's-friendly class introduces handbuilding techniques like pinch pots, coils, and sculptural forms. Students will start with the basics, then move on to creating a piece (or two) of their choosing, refining as they go. We’ll spend week three painting and decorating, and wrap up with glazing so their creations are ready to take home.

No experience necessary. This is a welcoming space to learn and grow.

What you can expect:

• Week 1: Intro to clay + pinch, coil, and sculptural techniques. Begin a project of your choice.
• Week 2: Continue building and refining pieces.
• Week 3: Paint, decorate, and add texture to your creations.
• Week 4: Glaze and underglaze bisqued pieces before their final kiln firing.

All finished work will be ready for pickup in 3–4 weeks.

House Rules:

• All kids classes are for ages 10-13. Please reach out if you'd like to request an exception for anyone under this age.
• We require a minimum of 3 weeks’ notice to reschedule your spot — please reach out
• Missed courses or classes cannot be refunded or credited
• We may photograph student work for promotional use — but we value and respect your privacy and comfort above all else
• Clean up and safety are essential to every potters' practice; the last 25 minutes of class are for cleaning up our joyful mess

** We reserve the right to cancel a class if minimum enrollment is not met. In such cases, participants will have the option to transfer to another available class or receive a full refund.
